One of my guests negotiated with the landlord today on Jan. 12, 2026, and successfully agreed to increase the monthly rent to 700,000 won instead of lowering the deposit to 3 million won. However, the landlord probably prefers 5 million won for the deposit and 650,000 won for the monthly rent. Nevertheless, in my opinion, unless there are special circumstances, the tenant will be able to choose between 5 million won for the deposit and 650,000 won for the deposit and 3 million won for the monthly rent and 700,000 won for the deposit.
